A climate justice workshop will be offered 4:30-6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7 at the UA Little Rock Ottenheimer Library in the Anderson Institute on Race and Ethnicity office. The free workshop is open to the public.

Led by Carmen Greshman of AWARE (Advocating for the Wellbeing And Respect of Everyone), the workshop will address the connection between class struggle and the climate crisis, environmental justice and the impact of climate change on marginalized and colonized peoples, the myths and misconceptions about sustainability and individual choice, and the power of mass mobilization and class solidarity.

“As the urgency of the climate crisis increases, it’s become more important than ever to educate and agitate others on climate justice and what we can do to fight for our survival,” Greshman said.

AWARE promotes social awareness and community action among the UA Little Rock campus community and empowers participants with tools for community organizing.
