Piano Recital Friday Features Liszt, Chopin

UALR music faculty member Kristina Marinova will present a piano recital at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 10, at the Stella Boyle Smith Concert Hall in the Fine Arts Building. Admission is free and open to the public.

The program will include Spanish Rhapsody by Liszt,  Chopin’s Scherzos Opus 20, No. 1 and Opus 31, No.2; Franck’s Prelude, Chorale, and Fugue; and Prokofieff’s  Sonata Opus 83, No. 8.

Marinova has won several concert competitions in both her native country of Bulgaria and in the United States. She has performed with the Bulgarian State Symphony Orchestra, the Macedonian Chamber Orchestra, and has presented recitals in Austria and Germany.

A graduate of the University of Michigan, Marinova is currently on the piano faculty at UALR and is the opera coach for the Opera Theatre program.
