University of Arkansas at Little Rock student James Sellers was walking across campus last year when he jokingly said, “What if we just sat in random places in lawn chairs?”

He did, and others joined him. The Lawn Chair Club was born.

Through the unofficial club, not only are people sitting together in lawn chairs, but they also are bringing hammocks, footballs, frisbees, food, and drinks.

“Now, people are even bringing tree stands to relax in,” Sellers said.

The group meets at random places on random days, so those interested in joining should look for large groups of lounging students on campus.
