Support UA Little Rock Helping Hands project by getting dinner from Chipotle Dec. 2
The University of Arkansas at Little Rock Staff Senate will hold a fundraiser at Chipotle on Wednesday, Dec. 2, to raise money for holiday food baskets for UA Little Rock employees and students.
The Staff Senate’s Helping Hands project provides holiday meal baskets for UA Little Rock employees and students who would otherwise not be able to provide a traditional holiday dinner for their families and has assisted with meeting the needs of dozens of families for more than 20 years.
The fundraiser will be held at Chipotle, 100 S. University Ave., from 5-9 p.m. Chipotle will donate 33 percent of all proceeds from anyone who brings in a flyer, shows a copy of the flyer on their smartphone, or tells the cashier they are supporting the Staff Senate Helping Hands project. People may also participate by ordering Chipotle online and using the code KYZTXRD in the ‘promo’ field before checkout.
Staff Senate is also collecting non-perishable food items until Dec. 15 that can be dropped off in donation boxes around campus. Donation items needed for the food baskets include stuffing/dressing mix, cornbread mix, cream of chicken soup, cream of mushroom soup, chicken/vegetable broth, green peas, black eyed peas, corn, yams/sweet potatoes, green beans, and cranberry sauce.
