The University of Arkansas at Little Rock raised more than $433,000 to support the university’s over 270 Trojan student-athletes during a record-setting night for Little Rock Athletics on Oct. 7.

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock Public Radio, home of KUAR FM 89.1 and KLRE Classical 90.5, is closing its annual fall fund drive off on a high note with an anonymous donation of $1.5 million, the largest cash gift in UA Little Rock Public Radio history.

A veteran broadcast journalist and experienced public relations professional has joined the Alumni and Development team at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock as the new director of development for planned giving and university initiatives. 

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock will honor outstanding graduates Dr. Jaafer Golzar and Helaine Williams with the UA Little Rock Distinguished Alumni awards during a Nov. 4 ceremony at the Clinton Presidential Center.

UA Little Rock Dance Professor Stephen Stone will hit the stage on Sept. 9 for his fourth performance in the Dancing with Our Stars Gala.

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock will celebrate the start of the fall semester and welcome the return of students and employees to campus with BBQ at Bailey Tuesday, Oct. 12.

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock has received a $25,000 endowment to honor Catherine “Cathie” Remmel Matthews, Arkansas’s longest serving director of the Division of Arkansas Heritage. 

Shane Bowers, a 2016 graduate of UA Little Rock, has been accepted at the Institute for Doctoral Studies in the Visual Arts. 

UA Little Rock Doctoral Student Nora Bouzihay is now serving as the assistant director of multicultural affairs at Arkansas State University.

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock will hold a special event to celebrate Alumni Association members on Thursday, June 17, at the Little Rock Zoo.
