University of Arkansas at Little Rock Athletics has announced a major renovation to the Trojan Fieldhouse, one of the original athletic facilities constructed in 1969.

Two members of the Chancellor’s Cabinet at the University of Arkansas have new titles.

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock finished the 2018 fiscal year with $18 million in private gift support, surpassing its annual goal and making it the third-best year in the university’s fundraising history.

Following the Trojans’ success at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in early June, Little Rock Director of Track and Field/Cross Country Milton Williams has announced his intention to retire from the program. 

Little Rock has reached another milestone in the process of adding wrestling as its 15th intercollegiate athletic program with Director of Athletics Chasse Conque announcing the hiring of Neil Erisman as the program’s first head wrestling coach.

As another academic season comes to a close, the University of Arkansas at Little Rock once again showed its commitment to excellence not only in competition but in the classroom, finishing the spring 2018 semester with a department-wide cumulative grade point average of 3.28. 

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock today unveiled a plan to add a major sport to its intercollegiate athletics program, a strategic decision that is expected to increase student enrollment. The final decision is conditional on approval from the University of Arkansas System Board of Trustees. 

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock women’s basketball team earned a No. 14 seed in the 2018 NCAA Tournament and will face No. 3 seed Florida State in the first round of the tournament at 10 a.m. (CT) Saturday, March 17, in Tallahassee, Florida. The matchup will air on ESPN2. 

Little Rock Athletics will reach a milestone this fall, hosting its 10th annual SpectacUALR. Cathy and Kevin Crass have been selected as the honorees for this year’s event, being held Thursday, Oct. 11, at the Jack Stephens Center. 

The fourth annual Little Rock Golf Shamble has been set for Monday, August 27, at Pleasant Valley Country Club. This year’s event will honor Bruce Munson, who has been a tremendous supporter of the Little Rock golf programs for years.
