Graduate student earns prestigious Mensa International scholarship

Hispanic Heritage Month honored through special events

The UALR Office of Campus Life in conjunction with the Hispanic/Latino Initiative is hosting several activities in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month through Oct. 15.

Each year, Americans observe National Hispanic Heritage Month by celebrating the histories, cultures and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America. Chancellor’s Leadership Corps launches annual food drive

The UALR Chancellor’s Leadership Corps (CLC) launched its annual Reach 13,000 food drive on Sept. 15 to support the Arkansas Food Bank. The goal of the drive is to provide 13,000 families with nonperishable food.

Student Philanthropy Council collects funds for student programs

UALR’s Student Philanthropy Council, Trojans Helping Trojans, has launched its third Green Piggy Bank fundraiser to collect funds supporting student scholarships and programs.
