UALR marks Sustainability Day Wednesday with campus-wide opportunities to go green, including stations to recycle light bulbs, batteries, aluminum, electronics, and plastic.

UALR’s Sustainability Committee is launching three new opportunities this month to meet and discuss issues related to the environment.

UALR students, faculty, and staff celebrate Earth Day Friday, April 22, by recycling household chemicals and other hazardous waste, distributing information about UALR’s Sustainability Committee efforts, presentations by winners of the sustainability competition, and awards and recognition for participants in Choices of Sustainability Living.

All full-time and part-time UALR faculty and instructors are invited to submit proposals to fund development of new or substantially enrich existing sustainability-related courses, The deadline for submitting proposals is 5 p.m. Friday, March 4.
