Golf Tournament Raises $80K for UA Little Rock Business Students
The University of Arkansas at Little Rock raised more than $80,000 for business students during the 12th Annual School of Business Golf Tournament held May 22 at Pleasant Valley Country Club.
More than 40 teams and nearly 170 golfers participated in the annual tournament that was sponsored by Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Deloitte, and Pettus Office Products.
“On behalf of the School of Business, I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated in our annual golf tournament,” said Dr. Robert Mitchell, director of the School of Business. “Your presence on the golf course, whether as a player, sponsor, or volunteer, made this event truly memorable and impactful. Your generosity and support have greatly contributed to our mission of empowering aspiring business students and fostering their success.”
The tournament featured one morning and two afternoon flights, breakfast, lunch, and a raffle. All proceeds will go to benefit student success initiatives in the School of Business that are focused on providing mentoring, tutoring, and career preparation for students.
“We are deeply grateful for everyone’s support of the UA Little Rock School of Business,” said Shannon Gwinn, director of career services in the School of Business. “We would like to express our sincere appreciation to our sponsors for their unwavering support. Your partnership and belief in our mission have been instrumental in organizing this successful event. With your help, we can continue nurturing the next generation of business leaders who will shape the future.”
The Southwest Power Pool team won the morning flight, while the Jess’s Chicken team won the first afternoon flight followed by Bank OZK taking the title for the second afternoon flight. Each winning team received gift certificates for the Pro Shop at Pleasant Valley Country Club.
