Office of Title IX to Hold National Domestic Violence Awareness Month Programming

In recognition of National Domestic Violence Awareness Month, the UA Little Rock Office of Title IX is increasing programming to bring awareness of the signs and resources available to prevent and respond to domestic and dating violence.

The Office of Title IX will hold information tables from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the following dates and locations:

  • Donaghey Student Center – Sept. 27, Oct. 2, Oct. 4, Oct. 24, and Oct. 26
  • Engineering and Information Technology Building Lobby – Sept. 28 and Oct. 17
  • Reynolds Business Building Atrium – Oct. 16
  • Windgate Center of Art and Design Upper Lobby – Oct. 3 and Oct. 12
  • William H. Bowen School of Law – Oct. 9 and Oct. 19

UA Little Rock students and employees can meet with Emily Bell, Director of Title IX, during the Title IX Satellite Hours. They will take place from 3-5 p.m. Oct. 3 in the Student Leadership Center; from 1-3 p.m. Oct. 11 in the Student Leadership Center; and 3-5 p.m. Oct. 16 in the Campus Living Commons Great Room.

UA Little Rock will also hold a workshop, “Stalking: Know It. Name It. Stop It,” from 2-3:30 p.m. Oct. 5 in the Donaghey Student Center Leadership Lounge.

A second workshop on consent and boundaries in relationships will take place from 1:30-3 p.m. Oct. 25 in the Donaghey Student Center Leadership Lounge.

The Office of Title IX will also hold a series of Title IX Talks via Zoom. These brief, practical training sessions are meant to provide information to the campus community. These sessions include:
