UA Little Rock Migrates to Online Classes Immediately

Dear Campus Community,

At UA Little Rock, the education, health and well-being of our students and community is a top priority.

  1. Effective immediately, face-to-face classes will migrate to online – until further notice.
  2. Effective immediately, on-campus events are canceled through April 30, unless written authorization is granted by the vice chancellor.
  3. Out of state travel is suspended and visits from out of state guests to campus are canceled through April 30.
  4. At this time, campus offices, residences and dining services remain open until further notice.

Please stay safe and we’ll continue to keep you updated on how this rapidly evolving situation may impact our campus moving forward.

Information for Students

March 12, 2020

Classes and Events

UA Little Rock is implementing social distancing measures to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. Courses that are already online will continue operating online. Hybrid and face-to-face courses are being migrated online until further notice. Your instructors are already busy planning for this transition and will be contacting you soon with further instructions on how to complete your spring coursework. We realize this situation presents challenges for students and faculty and appreciate your patience, flexibility, and support. Please review your UALR email account regularly for communication from your instructors about the move to online.

Continuation of Campus Services

UA Little Rock will continue operating offices for students, faculty, and staff at this time. Campus offices are identifying key processes and personnel now. To the extent feasible, campus offices are also preparing to work remotely. We are here to support you and will try to keep offices open through either physical or virtual settings.

Campus Living

The campus residences, including rental properties, resident halls, and apartments, are expected to remain open. The decision will be regularly re-evaluated as UA Little Rock consults with local and state health officials. Residents should stay in touch with their resident assistants to keep them informed of their personal housing plans. Additional plans will be shared as the situation evolves, but know that UA Little Rock understands students may not have alternative housing arrangements available. We will help you navigate this situation.

Campus Dining

As long as Campus Living remains open, Campus Dining will also remain open. Campus Dining may implement reduced operating hours (similar to the inclement weather schedule), but we expect dining services to remain open. Additional guidance will be shared as it becomes available. Please direct any questions or concerns to UALRDining@gmail.com.

Student Travel

University-sponsored travel out-of-state is prohibited at this time. Personal out-of-state travel is strongly discouraged. We realize this may impact your spring break plans. Students are encouraged to consider the health risks and logistical issues with domestic and international travel. Please review the latest CDC guidelines and consider the possibility of travel restrictions, quarantines, and other travel-related issues:
