CAMPUS LIVING

UA Little Rock to Provide Housing and Meal Plan Credits and Refunds

In addition to maintaining flat tuition and fees for fall 2020, UA Little Rock is announcing campus living (housing) and campus dining (meal plan) credit and refund options to students impacted by the coronavirus (COVID-19) health crisis.

Students who graduate by August 31, 2020 (completing all course requirements), may receive a 100% prorated refund for the housing and meal plan costs lost between April 6, 2020, and the last day of the spring 2020 semester.

Students not graduating by August 31, 2020 (completing all course requirements), may receive a 100% prorated credit for the housing and meal plan costs lost between April 6, 2020, and the last day of the spring 2020 semester. The credit may be applied to housing and meal plan costs for the 2020-2021 academic year.

Students who terminated their housing lease agreement before March 31, 2020, may also take advantage of these options as well as the termination provision specified in the lease agreement.

Additional details, including a form for students to submit to start the credit and refund process, will be available shortly on the Office of Campus Living website.

RESEARCH

The 2020 Student Research and Creative Works Expo launches this Friday, April 17. The event will be conducted through the free event app Whova. We can host over 700 free attendees, and we would like to invite you to this year’s Expo. To join us, please fill out this brief Google form and we will share the app download so you can start exploring the amazing work of UA Little Rock’s student mentees and faculty mentors.

The event launches this Friday. The following week, April 20 through April 24, we will crowdsource the event to give feedback and learn how the platform works. Workshops will be held through this week to orient new attendees to the app. Judging will then begin on April 27 and run through May 1.

We are excited to be able to continue the 2020 Expo as a virtual venue and hope you can join us to celebrate the hard work of our students, faculty, and the members of the Student Research and Creative Works Committee.
