COMMENCEMENT

The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette’s High Profile section would like to honor the 2020 high school and college graduates who will miss their senior proms, graduations and other activities during this unprecedented time. Rachel O’Neal is putting together photo pages featuring graduates and their families to run in High Profile on Sundays. If your child or grandchild is graduating this spring and would like to participate, please contact Rachel at roneal@addnewsroom.com. She will work with you on either coming to your house to take a photo of your family or help you submit a family photo. Ideas for photos could include cap and gown, prom gowns and tuxedos, or casual or dress attire.

This is a feature the Democrat-Gazette is putting together for the students and, of course, there is no charge.

HUMAN RESOURCES

The Federal CARES Act passed in March, included an option for distributions and loans from retirement plans. The loans and distributions are intended to assist individuals with COVID-19 related financial needs.

Effective immediately, the University of Arkansas Retirement plan has included these programs. The loans and distributions guidelines along with the application processes, are available and managed through TIAA and Fidelity. Participants wishing to access either of these programs must contact their retirement company directly. For additional information, please see the attached memo or visit the UA website.

TIAA – 1-800-842-2252
Fidelity – 1-800-343-0860

The HR Office will confirm your vested status with TIAA and Fidelity but does not process, review, or approve these applications.
