Dr. Kathy Knierim is a hydrologist with the U.S. Geological Survery in the Lower Mississippi-Gulf Water Science Center. Recent projects include developing a water-use record for the Ozark Plateau’s aquifer system and modeling water quality in zones of groundwater withdrawal.
In this lecture, Dr. Knierim explains the importance of our groundwater systems and how those resources are strained by use and drought.
