University District residents show great enthusiasm for the Growing Healthy Communities Gardening Program. Since inception in 2011, the UDDC has distributed raised bed gardens and free lants to 105 households. Each year the UDDC hosts a garden training class open to all UD residents. The class is led by the UA Cooperating Extension Agent for Pulaski County.
