Neighborhood Profile
Built in the late 1950s and early 1960s, Point O Woods homes are nestled beneath a canopy of mature Oak, Pine, Walnut, and Hickory trees. Representing some of the best construction in Little Rock, these solidly built homes are characterized by hardwood floors, vintage tile bathrooms, and other architectural elements typical of the period.
What will you see when you enter our neighborhood? Often you will see children playing, people walking or working in their yards, and neighbors visiting with one another. We are a diverse neighborhood, and people of all ages and ethnicities live here. Though diverse, we are unified in our desire to be good neighbors, citizens, and property owners. We believe strongly that our strong commitment to a safe and friendly neighborhood is one of the things that makes Point O’Woods a great place to live!
The UA Little Rock walking trails and fitness center are just a few blocks away. Residents may also choose from 10 Fitness or LA Fitness, the Rebsamen Tennis Center, the Chism Community Center, and the War Memorial Fitness Center which are all less than 2 miles away. In only 10 minutes you can connect to the lovely Arkansas River Trail.
Centrally located, a 10 minute drive to downtown invites a variety of experiences: festivals, concerts at Robinson Center, shows at the Repertory Theatre, a multitude of unique local restaurants and clubs, the downtown library, the Clinton Presidential Library, the Museum of Discovery – the list is endless! We are less than 2 miles from Park Plaza Mall, and Midtown and Park Avenue centers, so vibrant shopping and dining experiences are always minutes away. Easy and quick access to I-630 makes all parts of the city accessible.
Educational, cultural and sports events are regular offerings at UA Little Rock, and our area is home to dozens of vibrant churches and faith organizations. Major medical centers such as UAMS, Baptist Hospital, and St. Vincent’s are only minutes away.

The Point O Woods Residents Association represents the neighborhood and meets quarterly.
