A lawyer in the AG’s Criminal Department for more than two decades, Darnisa Johnson has been the Deputy Attorney General over the Department since 2002. Johnson has argued before the U.S. Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals on multiple occassions. She also helped draft and edit the Arkansas Law Enforcement Officers’ Pocket Manual. Prior to working at the AG’s Office, she worked for East Arkansas Legal Services in West Memphis. She has a Criminal Justice degree from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and a law degree from the UALR Bowen School of Law.
