Stakeholders Advisory Council
The Interpreter Education Program organized a Stakeholders Advisory Council in fall 2006 for the purpose of receiving input concerning the program’s 5-year Strategic Plan. The Advisory Council meets once or twice during each academic year. Occasionally, the meetings are held in conjunction with the Student Advisory Council. Stakeholders from the following agencies, consumer organizations, and institutions are invited to participate:
- Arkansas Association of the Deaf
- Arkansas Deaf-Blind Community
- Arkansas School for the Deaf
- Arkansas Rehabilitation Services
- Arkansas Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf
- Little Rock Black Deaf Advocates
- Research and Training Center for Persons who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
- UALR Disability Resource Center
- Communication Plus Interpreter Referral Service
- Sorenson Communications
- UALR IEP students
- UALR IEP graduates
