English Majors must take

  • ENGL 3330 Approaches to Literature (3 hours)
  • ENGL 3331 Major British Writers I (3 hours)
  • ENGL 3332 Major British Writers II (3 hours)
  • ENGL 4199 Career Perspectives (1 hour)
  • Either
    • ENGL 3311 History of the English Language or
    • ENGL 3312 Grammatical Analysis (3 hours)
  • Either
    • ENGL 3321 American Literature I or
    • ENGL 3322 American Literature II or
    • ENGL 3323 American Literature III (3 hours)
  • They must also take seventeen additional hours of upper-level (3000-4000) English electives
