Scholarships in CALS

These scholarships are available to students with declared majors within the College as listed below. Each scholarship has different requirements. These are not the only scholarships available within the College. Individual departments also administrate their own. Visit your department web site to see what they have to offer.

Please fill out the application below and submit the supplemental documents with the application by March 1.

Upload transcripts from your BOSS account and include your grades from the Fall semester to be eligible.
NOTE: If you do not submit all of the documents required for the scholarship you will NOT be considered.

Stephen L. Mourning Science Scholarship
Awarded to a full-time or part-time student. Academic accomplishment and financial need will be strongly considered.
Majors eligible: Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Earth Sciences

Leadership Endowed Scholarship
Awarded to a full-time or part-time student. Academic accomplishment and financial need will be strongly considered.
Majors eligible: Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Earth Sciences and, Mathematics and Statistics

Martha Sawrie Stephenson Endowed Scholarship
Awarded to a full-time or part-time (no fewer than 6 hours) student. Cumulative GPA must be between 2.5 and 3.5. Financial need strongly considered
Majors eligible: English, History, and Political Science

Tracy L. Thompson Endowed Scholarship
Awarded to full- or part-time student majoring in math & minoring in secondary ed with intention of becoming a teacher OR a graduate student in Science or Math who is a teacher or intends to become one.

Majors eligible: Physics, Biology, Chemistry and, Mathematics and Statistics
Items to submit: Application and Applicant must demonstrate current record of active volunteerism in community, church, or other non-profit organization that benefits U.S. youth & minors. Submit 3 letters of recommendation with app: 1) member of org where applicant is current volunteer; 2) member of the community; 3) fellow student
