Roger Dorsey

Roger DorseyRoger Dorsey, an accounting instructor in the College of Business, gained taxation experience as a Certified Public Accountant in Little Rock for 10 years at a Big Four public accounting firm, a large regional public accounting firm,and a small local firm, where he served clients in the areas of tax compliance, tax consulting, estate planning, and representation before federal and state tax agencies.

He serves on the taxation and public relations committeesof the Arkansas Society of Certified Public Accountants and is a member of the Little Rock.NET (Microsoft technology)user group.

Dorsey earned bachelor’s degrees in accounting and computer information systems from UALR, a juris doctor degree from William and Mary Law School, and a master of law degree in taxation from the University of Florida. His research interests are in the areas of tax accounting, tax policy and procedure, business ethics, and the use of technology in accounting, and his articles have been published in Practical Tax Strategies, Advances in Taxation, and the Southern Law Journal.Dorsey’s corporate experience and research work in tax accounting bring a wealth of knowledge to his students and the Arkansas business community.
