The UALR’s Friday Fellows program was started thanks to an endowment by the family of Little Rock lawyer Herschel H. Friday Jr. Friday lived in Arkansas and devoted his life to charities, such as the Arkansas Repertory Theatre, Arkansas Children’s Hospital, the Arkansas Easter Seal Society, and more. Through this program, students can learn to build partnerships, apply classroom learning, and become leaders in the community.
