Welcome!
Two New Staff
Please join us in welcoming the two newest members to the Disability Resource Center: Kimya Herd, Office Manager, and Reed Claiborne, Access Consultant! Go to our Meet the Staff page to learn more about these two fine folks, and come by any time to meet them!
New DRC Student Lounge
Please visit the new DRC Student Lounge. This is a one-stop site where you can get information such as registering with the DRC, requesting Faculty Notification Letters, requesting books in alternate format, finding us on Facebook, and navigating Blackboard with a screenreader.
Updates on construction / sidewalk disruptions
Watch our blog under the ‘News’ category (bottom left of screen) for regular updates. With so many construction projects happening at UALR, the accessible routes are changing, sometimes week-to-week. As we learn of them, we’ll post them here.
Accessibility website
Check out the Accessibility website, a centralized web presence for all things related to accessibility for UALR. Please link to the site!
Providing access to a diverse student population is embedded in the philosophy of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. The Disability Resource Center recognizes disability as an aspect of diversity that is integral to society and to the campus community. To this end, the DRC collaborates with students, faculty, staff, and community members to create usable, equitable, inclusive, and sustainable learning environments. The DRC also promotes and facilitates awareness and access through training, partnerships, innovative programs and accommodations.
Creative Solutions. Together.
