Track teams compete at Rhodes

UALR men’s and women’s track and field opened the outdoor season at Rhodes college in Memphis on March 19 placing ten Trojans in the top five.
Charlie Cox placed second in the men’s 10,000 meter run at 31:17.26. Brian Giken and Markus Pearson were close behind for 31:43.06 and 31:43.12 respectively nabbing fourth and fifth places.

Felix Maritim placed fifth in the men’s 5,000 meter at 15:06.34.

Grace Rich was fourth in the women’s 400 meter dash at 56.36 and fifth in the women’s 200 meter dash at 25.45.

Nicole Smith placed second in the women’s 3,000 meter steeplechase at 11:32.39.

Sheena Howell placed fourth in the women’s pole vault with a distance of 3.05m. Brittany Jones tied for fifth in the women’s high jump with 1.57m.

Taron Dunn placed fifth in the men’s long jump with 6.85m.
