The Arkansas State Fair will roll into town Oct. 14 and will end Oct. 23, so this gives you nine days to attend the attraction-filled fun fest located at the Arkansas State Fair Grounds on Asher Avenue, near the UALR campus.

Just about the time you will need a break from midterms the Fair will feature live concerts, livestock exhibits, food (turkey legs, nachos, pizza, cotton candy, taffy and anything you can fry on a stick). You can get airbrushed shirts and boost your adrenaline level with rides. The cyclone, bungee jumping, a haunted house and many others, there will be fun for people of all ages. Adult admission is $8 and children 6 to 12 and senior citizens get in for $4. Parking for the event will be $5 or you can park in other surrounding areas.

There is sure to be a full list of entertainment for the nine nights of fun, although no schedule has been released yet. The State Fair officials are finalizing all plans but they promise that this will be an exciting year for entertainment.

The park will be open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
