Women’s volleyball lost to their in-state rival ASU 3-1 on Friday, Oct. 14 at the Jack Stephens Center

Freshman Edina Begic led the Trojans with 32 kills in the match.

Junior Emily Pepperman led the team with 18 digs.

The Lady Trojans suffered too many unforced errors in the match and head coach Van Compton said she believes that’s what cost them the win.

“To me, unforced errors and serve/receive killed us tonight. If you can’t serve/receive, you aren’t going to get any offense going. Arkansas State is a good team. They are solid. They didn’t make a lot of unforced errors.” she said in a post-game press release on

The Lady Trojans will head out on the road for a Florida swing, taking on Florida Atlantic at 6 p.m. Oct. 21 and FIU at noon on Oct. 23.

Their next home match will be against ULM at 7 p.m. on Oct. 28.
