Grad student Shara Buford, founder of Splicedego Clothing, will host a premier fashion show on Friday, Feb. 7 at 7 p.m. in the Donaghey Student Center rooms A, B, and C. She will team up with Life and Other Things Fashion, Bradley Q, and Noble Fashion for the event.

Doors will open at 6 p.m. Students are encouraged to arrive early, before 7 p.m, to see the opening performances. The guest performers include Rico Sergent and the iMove Dancers, TJones and Jeremy Couch, and UALR Dancers Emily Karnes and Todd Belin. The host for the evening is R&B artist Dawun-Jamaal. Select clothing items will be available for purchase at the show, and those interested can purchase items at beginning in March.

“The show is a sporty fashion show for dancers, kids and kids at heart,” Buford said. “[My] idea behind Splicedego is living life through your own perception. It is one of the greatest gifts we as people can give ourselves.”

The runway fashion line is inspired by hip-hop dancers worldwide. Buford said she wants people to enjoy the show and “never be afraid to color outside the lines.”

Food and drinks will be provided along with door prizes given away throughout the night.

Tickets are $12 at and $15 at the door. Tickets bought online are entered in a Nintendo Wii giveaway. The proceeds will benefit the SungateKids foundation and American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
