NPC Sororities

The National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) is comprised of 26 sororities; UALR has two of these groups on campus. The local NPC serves as the governing body for both of these sororities. The purpose of this body is to foster interfraternity relationships and to cooperate with the university to maintain the highest scholastic and social standards.

To pledge any sorority, you must have a MINIMUM GPA of 2.0, however, many sororities require a higher standard.   You must be enrolled in at least 12 HOURS to join any group.

Sorority recruitment at UALR is an informal process known as Continuous Open Recruitment (COR). If you are interested in participating in COR, you will simply fill out the Greek application and turn it in to the Office of Campus Life, DSC 216. We will then make copies of your application and distribute it to both of the houses. They will then contact you and set up a meeting or invite you to an event that they are hosting. It is to your best advantage to visit both of the houses before you make your final decision, but it is not mandatory. If you are interested in a particular house, you may contact them individually to find out what activities they have planned. The sororities have the opportunity to invite you to join once they have received your application.

There is no longer a formal recruitment session in the fall.

You can mail or drop by your completed application (download HERE) to the following address:
