These courses are required for completion of the Juris Doctor degree at Bowen.

  • Lawyering Skills II
    Full-time students are required to take this course in the spring of their second year. Part-time students must take it in the spring of their third year. 
  • Lawyering Skills I
    Full-time students will take this course in the fall of their second year, while part-time students will take it in the fall of their third year. 
  • Evidence
    Full-time students will take this required class in the fall of their second year, while part-time students will take it in the fall of their third-year. 
  • Constitutional Law
    Both full- and part-time students will take this course in the fall of their second year. 
  • Legal Profession
    Full-time students must take this course in the spring semester of their second year. Part-time students may take this course in the spring semester of their first year or later as desired. 
  • Property II
    Full-time students are required to take this course in the spring of their first year, and part-time students take it in the spring of their second year. 
  • Property I
    This class is required for full-time students in the fall of their first year and for part-time students in the fall of their second year. 
  • Torts
    Students are required to take this class during the fall semester of their first year. 
  • Reasoning, Writing, and Advocacy I
    Students are required to take RWA I in the fall semester of their first year. 
  • Reasoning, Writing, and Advocacy II
    Students are required to take RWA II in the spring semester of their first year.
