The Special Collections at Ottenheimer Library contain materials that are historically significant to the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, as well as research materials that rare and/or fragile. Materials are not available for browsing, but will be retrieved upon request.
Requested materials will be be available within 24 hours (Monday-Friday).

- Simon Collection (Fiction, biography, philosophy, history)
- UALR Archives
- UALR Theses and Dissertations
- USGS Arkansas Maps
- Other Non-Circulating Materials (rare or fragile items)
Conditions of Use
The collections are available for in-library use by UALR faculty, students, staff, as well as the general public. All users of the collection must have a valid library account prior to accessing the materials. The materials in Special Collections are retrieved by library staff for use within the Ottenheimer Library. As items may be rare or fragile, the Library reserves the right to further limit the use of Special Collections materials based on the physical condition of the item(s).
Holdings information is available in the Library Catalog for all collections (except UALR Archives).Â Requests can be placed via the online form.Â Materials will be pulled and generally be available within 24 hours (Monday-Friday) after the request.Â For additional information, please contact the Library via Ask A Librarian.
