SPED 7343 Disability Law
This course provides an overview of laws that impact individuals with disabilities. Three specific laws, in Individuals with Disabilities Act (IDEA), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), will be discussed in depth.

COUN 7370 Psychopharmacology for Counselors
A course intended to cover areas of psychopharmacology and the application of medication to all major diagnostic categories contained in DSM-IV-TR. This course is intended for non-prescribing professionals.

COUN 7368 Foundations of Substance Abuse
This course focuses on substance abuse and coexisting disabilities from the perspective of risk and the challenges to rehabilitation practice. It provides the student with an inā€depth understanding of substance abuse, drugs of abuse, patterns of abuse and consequences of abuse.

COUN 7369 Introduction to Family Counseling
This course will provide knowledge about work with couples and families. This course will include understanding and application of general systems theory and the major schools of
family theory. Methods for working with families with a disabled family member will be presented.
