I joined the Information Science Department at UALR as an Assistant Professor in Fall 2009. I received my Ph.D. in Computer Science from the School of Computing and Informatics, Arizona State University in August, 2009. I received my Bachelors in Technology in Information Technology from the Indian Institute of Information Technology in May 2003.

Research Interests


My research interests include the following topics that are partly funded by the US Office of Naval Research and the National Science Foundation’s ‘Human Centered Computing’ and ‘Social Computational Systems’ programs.

  1. 1.Social Computing, Knowledge extraction in Social Media & Web 2.0, Modeling and evaluation of phenomena like Influence, Trust, Familiar Strangers, Collective Wisdom, Community Discovery, BlogTrackers tool;
