Guest Lecture: “Posthumanism as the Future of Ecofeminism”

The Department of Philosophy and Interdisciplinary Studies will welcome Prof. Taine Duncan, Assistant Professor of Philosophy at the University of Central Arkansas, to give a lecture titled “Posthumanism as the Future of Ecofeminism.”

Wednesday, April 16
Donaghey Student Center, Room 205-G

In this talk, Prof. Duncan will address Rosi Braidotti’s definition of posthumanism to argue that the relationship between posthumanism and vital materialism might carve out a new space in ecofeminist thought, one in which care ethics no longer guides, but instead a notion of intersubjective becoming pushes us into greater ethical interdependence with the natural world.
