Dr. Mastin frequently collaborates on research projects with students. For example a recent presentation “Woolems, A. & Mastin, D. (2009). The effect of console/computer game play on sleepiness and sleep hygiene. Presented at the 2009 (23rd Annual) meeting of the Associated Professional Sleep Societies (SLEEP) in Seattle, WA” was selected for media distribution and received international attention. Dr. Mastin is the primary author of the Sleep Hygiene Index, an instrument which is widely used in clinical and medical settings.
