Six of last years Science Olympiad champions meet with the President on Monday, October 18, 2010. This was the first ever “White House Science Fair,” an event highlighting the achievements of student winners from major national science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) competitions.
The students and their coaches also meet Jamie Hyneman and Adam Savage, from Mythbusters, and Bill Nye the Science Guy. See more information and picture at the national Science Olympiad website http://soinc.org/gov_news.
Arkansas Science Teachers, Reserve April 16, 2011 on your Calendars! America’s Most Exciting Team Science Competition, The Science Olympiad, will be coming to Arkansas. For the past 27 years this special event has led a revolution in Science Education.
Entire Team Registration fees are $90 ($30 state & $60 national membership fee). Official rules can be found at the National Science Olympiad website http://soinc.org .
