Dance Curriculum
The B.F.A. degree in dance is a professional degree offering students an education in dance technique, choreography, and dance theory. Along with intensive training in Modern Dance and Ballet, our students study Jazz Dance, Tap Dance, Improvisation, and Choreography. Dance students also have the opportunity to be exposed to many other styles of dance at UALR, including Hip-Hop and Musical Theatre Dance. Courses in Dance History, Music, Kinesiology, Performance, Production, and Technology help to give our dancers a complete dance education and prepare our graduates for the demands of a professional career in dance.
Many courses offered in the dance program are open to all UALR students.
