UALR students and faculty celebrated world cultures Tuesday November 17th…. with student groups representing countries and cultures’ with native dress, music and food.

UALR Salutes Veterans

November 11, 2009, the UALR commuity honored all veterans who served and continue to serve our country with a ceremony at the flag pole. Guest speaker was retired Navy commander John Saunders, a veteran of the Korean, Vietnam and Desert Storm Wars.

Dr. Bob Brier, renowned scholar of ancient Egypt, discusses one of the great mysteries: how the ancient Egyptians built the Great Pyramid. This lecture is co-sponsored by the Arkansas Art Center currently exhibiting “World of the Pharaohs: Treasures of Egypt Revealed”

Little Rock D.J. Tre’ Day hosted his 6th Annual Celebrity Bowling Bash funding scholarships for students majoring in Mass Communication at UALR. In attendance were professional football and basketball players as well area media celebrities. In this UTV Short, Tre’Day explains why the scholarship project is so important.
