University TV Debuts “The Bowen Connection”

Bowen Connection Logo

This Thursday, October 6th, UALR University Television premieres “The Bowen Connection,” a collaboration with the UALR William H. Bowen Law School.

Each week law school professors will discuss their area of expertise with host Tonya Oaks Smith. The programs will cover “healthcare law”, “school integration”, “police interactions” and “harassment in the workplace.” The shows are designed to help the public better understand the law and how it affects their lives.

The kick-off show features Law School Dean John DiPippa who tackles new technology and First Amendment Rights. “I am proud to partner with University Television to produce this show as a way to showcase our professors’ expertise,” said Dean DiPippa. “I also consider it an important part of our school’s mission to educate the broader community about the law. This is one small way we can provide greater access to our justice system as well.”

University Television will air a new program every week at 8 p.m. on Thursdays and repeat at 11:00 am on Sundays as well as other times as the schedule permits.
