What You'll Do at Discover

You won’t be bored at this college preview day!

The Morning Schedule.

Check-in starts at 9:30 a.m., which is when you will get your meal tickets and schedule. You will then head to the Main Concourse of the Jack Stephens Center to check out the morning Expo. Next, you’ll find a seat in the stands and enjoy the Welcome Session. You may be picked to compete in our first scholarship contest during this session! Then, you’ll be guided to your Academic Session, where you will learn more about what makes your academic college special.

Choose Your Next Stop.

Last, you’ll choose your next stop: Grab lunch, go on tours of campus and housing, and apply for admission for free. You’ll also have the chance to explore campus and participate in our social media scholarship contest! Along the way, you will find tents that feature our student clubs, academic departments, and more, with fun activities and giveaways. Keep an eye on your agenda: There are pop-up activities happening until 2 p.m.! Don’t miss the Check-out table, where you can grab your school excuse letter and tell us about your experience in exchange for a free t-shirt.

Win a Scholarship

Plan on attending UA Little Rock in 2022? During Discover, you can participate in scholarship contests! There are two contests: The Welcome Session Competition and the Social Media Scholarship Contest. Check out all the details in the next section. Good luck!

Welcome Session Competition

During the Welcome session at 10:30 a.m., recruitment staff will find students in the crowd to participate in a competition on the basketball court. At the end of the game, two winners will be awarded with a $500 scholarship!

Social Media Contest

The contest begins on Nov. 4 at 9:30 a.m. and ends at 5 p.m. Five $250 scholarships will go to the winners in our social media contest. Winners will be chosen in these categories:

  • Best Overall—the post we love the most
  • Most Creative—think outside the box and create a vibe
  • Best Trojan Spirit—the biggest UA Little Rock school spirit will be rewarded
  • Campus Explorer—take us on an adventure through campus
  • Most Popular—get the most likes, shares, and comments

Here’s how to enter the social media contest:

  1. Follow us on one of the social media platforms shown below.
  2. When you post on your preferred platform, tag us and include #DiscoverLR.
  3. Each post will be considered an entry, and there are no limits on the amount you post.

Eligibility: Scholarships can be used by students who enroll in classes during any term in 2022 (Spring, Summer, or Fall) as a degree-seeking student.

How to Get to Discover

Getting to Discover is easy!

  • Free parking is available in Lot 13, which is located next to the Jack Stephens Center. (View on Google Maps)
  • Check-in will be located on the first floor of the JSC, and greeters will be available to point you in the right direction.
