A minor in Applied Communication can make you more marketable in any field. We have two minors that you can take either face-to-face or online.
Our online, hybrid, and on-campus curriculum is designed to meet the needs of students with an interest in communicative behavior in business, education, industry, and other professions. Students are trained in interpersonal and public communication skills related to human relations and organizational communication.
Applied Communication Minor
The Applied Communication minor requires 18 hours beyond ACOM 1300.
Required courses: ACOM 2310, ACOM 3320, and 12 upper-level hours in applied communication
Professional Communication Minor
The Professional Communication minor is designed to enhance professional communication skills necessary for success in a student’s chosen career. The minor requires 18 hours beyond ACOM 1300.
Required courses: ACOM 2310, ACOM 3320, and nine hours from ACOM 3316, ACOM 3322, ACOM 3323, ACOM 3330, ACOM 3340, and ACOM 4311; and 3 additional upper-level hours in Applied Communication.
