The Computer Science programs provide a strong foundation in programming, algorithms, computational thinking, and software development, preparing students for a wide range of technology careers. Information Technology programs were developed in collaboration with employers in central Arkansas to prepare students with the technical, business, and professional skills. Our students work with local organizations and companies to develop IT solutions as part of the capstone project.

Advanced Software Development Technical Certificate CurriculumInformation Technology Minor
The Information Technology Minor is designed for students majoring in the arts, humanities, social sciences, sciences, and other fields without a strong computing component. Coursework emphasizes technical knowledge alongside project planning, problem-solving, communication, leadership, and business skills. This minor is embedded within the Web Design and Development degree.
Applicants should have:
- Completion of 30 or more semester hours
- A minimum 2.5 GPA
- A declared major at UA Little Rock
No extensive technology background is required, but students should have an interest in information technology along with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
