William Cox, M.S. – Assistant Professor

William Cox HeadshotWilliam Cox is an experienced Cyber Warfare Operator for the United States Air Force, where he has served for over 24 years. William began his cyberspace career as a Tech Controller, providing long-haul communication support to network operations centers worldwide. William wanted to further his understanding of Information Systems, which led him to earn many industry certifications, including Microsoft Certified Information Technology Professional, Cisco Certified Network Associate, CompTIAA+, Network +, Security +, and other security-focused certifications. William has a Master of Science in Cybersecurity, a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems, and multiple Associate of Applied Science degrees.
William has taught at multiple colleges and universities around the U.S. Most recently, teaching Cyberspace Operations and Computer Security at the University of Arkansas Pulaski Technical College, Harford College, and the Air Force Institute of Technology. William has over 15 years of experience teaching cybersecurity concepts and introductory Information Technology courses. His passion rests in offensive and defense tactics, cyber law and ethics, and Operational Technology.
