Health Services notified the campus last year of important changes that would take effect 1/1/21. To assist with those changes, all patients were asked to bring their current insurance card with them to each appointment (or even better, email it to email@example.com before the appointment). To date, we have been lenient on enforcing this. However, not having current insurance cards on file is causing problems with both our third-party insurance billing vendor and our lab service. Effective immediately, patients who don’t have their insurance card with them when they arrive for an appointment (or who have not emailed it in advance) will have to pay for that day’s services using the self-pay discounted fee schedule. Health Services will not be able to go back at a later date and charge the visit/services or any labs to insurance. Thank you in advance for your cooperation and understanding.
