Campus ID Card Upgrade: Enhanced Technology for Easier Use!
The University of Arkansas at Little Rock is continuing its Campus Card Project, an initiative to unify and modernize campus card systems. The new system, powered by OnGuard by Lenel, introduces tap-enabled, contactless access readers across select buildings to enhance convenience and security.
New ID cards are now available at the Donaghey Student Center Information Desk. These cards support both the new tap-to-access technology and the existing magnetic stripe for compatibility with older systems, and they also feature an updated design.
Students, faculty, and staff can get a new ID card at any time:
- Anyone who needs after-hours access to a building scheduled for the new system will need a new card, which will be issued free of charge.
- Those not requiring access to the new readers may obtain a replacement card for $15.00.
Project progress:
- New ID cards with tap functionality began printing in September.
- New access readers have been installed in Nursing, the Student Leadership Center (SLC), and Ross Hall, with additional installations occurring weekly through December.
Access coordination:
Facilities Management will be reaching out to departments and individuals whose areas are included in this phase of the project. If you are on the access list for a building being upgraded, you will be notified directly. If you have questions about the new cards or access system, please contact IT Services or visit the Information Desk for assistance.
