MaryScott Timmis serves as the Assistant Dean for Admissions and Enrollment Management at the UA Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law, where she leads the law school’s admissions strategy and prospective student engagement. In this role, she works closely with applicants throughout the admissions process, providing guidance, answering questions, and helping students navigate the path to law school.
“Working with prospective students is the most meaningful part of this role. I enjoy getting to know each person’s story and helping them see what’s possible for their future.”
Timmis is deeply committed to creating an admissions experience that is welcoming, transparent, and supportive. She values the opportunity to connect with prospective students, learn their stories, and help them see what is possible through legal education. Her work is grounded in the belief that the admissions process is not just about evaluating applicants, but about encouraging future attorneys as they take the first step toward their careers.
Prior to joining Bowen, Timmis practiced at Wright, Lindsey & Jennings as a registered patent attorney. Her background in legal practice informs her approach to admissions, allowing her to guide students with a clear understanding of the profession they are preparing to enter.
Timmis earned her Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from the University of Mississippi School of Law in 2022. During law school, she served as executive articles editor for the Mississippi Law Journal, chair of the Interprofessional Education Board, and a member of the Moot Court Board. She earned her Bachelor of Science in engineering, cum laude, from the University of Mississippi, with an emphasis in pre-med studies.
Timmis is an avid Ole Miss fan and enjoys spending time with her husband, Logan, and their two Labrador retrievers, Sawyer and Finn. A Little Rock native, she is a graduate of Pulaski Academy and is proud to serve students pursuing legal education in her home state.
