Professor Gould joined the Bowen School of Law faculty in 1976 after practicing law with the Omaha, Nebraska law firm of Fitzgerald, Brown, Leahy, McGill and Strom. His research and teaching interests are Civil Procedure, Evidence, Intellectual Property and Water Law. In addition, Professor Gould was the founding director of the law school’s clinic program. He has served as board member and president of Central Arkansas Legal Services and is currently a member of the Arkansas Supreme Court Committee on Civil Practice. Professor Gould was appointed by Gov. Bill Clinton as a Special Justice of the Arkansas Supreme Court and has also served as a Special Judge of Arkansas Chancery and Juvenile Courts. He has taught as a visiting professor at the Wake Forest University School of Law, and has served on a number of law school site inspection teams appointed by the American Bar Association and Association of American Law Schools. Professor Gould is the author of articles and practice materials in the areas of civil procedure and juvenile justice.
