Rebecca Feldmann directs and teaches the law school’s newest clinic, the Veterans Legal Services Clinic, which will begin enrolling students in th espring of 2021. Students enrolled in the clinic will provide legal representation to veterans in adjudications involving disability benefits and reconsideration of discharge status. In the process, students will learn about client-centered advocacy, the practical application of lawyering skills, and community engagement through the lens of veterans’ benefits adjudications.

Professor Feldmann is passionate about fostering a collaborative learning environment and helping students develop into reflective lawyers who are committed to using their skills in service to the community. She began her legal career as an attorney at Legal Services of Eastern Missouri, where she represented low-income immigrants and their U.S. citizen family members in a variety of immigration proceedings. Before joining the Bowen faculty, Professor Feldmann held clinical teaching positions at Villanova, Seton Hall, and Georgetown, where she supervised students representing survivors of trauma in administrative proceedings. Professor Feldmann’s teaching and scholarship interests focus on trauma-informed advocacy and access to justice.
