At CINS, we are dedicated to the education of young people. As part of this commitment, we provide a number of educational opportunities to the local high school community. For more information about these programs, please contact us at nanotechnologycenter@ualr.edu. If you’d like to schedule a tour, learn more about contacting us.
Summer Mentorship Opportunities
Many summers, CINS offers high school students the opportunity to gain hands-on research experience in preparation for science fairs, college, and their professional careers. Our staff and student researchers work one-on-one with the high schoolers, teaching them about research techniques and nanotechnology. Summer mentorships are awarded competitively and subject to mentor availability.
High School Research Program
CINS researchers participate in the Donaghey College of STEM’s High School Research Program. This competitive program provides a three-week intensive learning experience for students interested in the STEM disciplines. These students live on campus and engage in college-level research with faculty mentors. Please visit the STEM college’s site for more information.
