Receptions Fete Departing Colleagues

The campus community bids a fond farewell to three stalwarts this week – Cheryl Chapman, director of UALR Children International,  Preston Slayden, division chief of student development/dean of students, and John T. Grissom, executive administrative secretary in the Department of Music. A retirement reception honoring Chapman is scheduled for 3 to 5 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 27, in the atrium of the Donald W. Reynolds Business Center at University and 28th Street. Slayden will be honored at a reception from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 28, in Ledbetter Hall B and C in the Donaghey Student Center. Grissom’s farewell reception will be from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. in the Upper Concourse of the Donaghey Student Center. All are welcome to drop by and wish these friends and colleagues well and thank them for their service to UALR.
