UA Little Rock Children International
UA Little Rock Children International is a non-profit organization in Little Rock, AR, focused on giving children affected by poverty the tools they need to create brighter futures for themselves and their communities. Our agency was established in 1994 as a partnership between the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and Children International – a Kansas City-based nonprofit organization.
The aim for the partnership is to empower families to raise healthy, educated, self-reliant children in the neighborhoods of Central and Southwest Little Rock. Of the 10 countries that Children International serves, the UA Little Rock Children International location is the only U.S. site. Each year, the site serves approximately 2,000 children and youth with the help of 30+ partner organizations and more than 10,000 individual sponsors from around the world.
Our programs focus on four key outcomes: for CI kids to graduate healthy, educated, empowered, and employed. Why these four? Because they’re all interconnected and essential to achieving the big goal: helping to break the cycle of poverty.
